CALIFORNIA - Google will launch a search for the missing cell phone users of Android-based smartphone or tablet by the end of this month. Android service called Device Manager (ADM) can locate a lost Android phone, and protects all data contained in it.

Based on information taken from the official Android blog, Saturday (03/08/2013), ADM will be combined with mobile applications and online services. ADM is designed to help Android smartphone users find lost phones and protect all the data in it when the phone can not be found.

If someone just forgot where to put the phone last time, such as under the pillow or in the bag, ADM can find these devices with ease. Phone owners simply do a Google account login via ADM and press the "Ring". After that, the phone will ring with a memorable was the loudest volume, even if is in silent mode.

Another if the phone is left in a restaurant or other public places. ADM will tell you the location of the missing phone via Google Maps. ADM accuracy in telling lies depends on the power of mobile phone networks, GPS, Wi-Fi or mobile phone.

However, if the phone is truly lost can not be found, ADM gives users an option to delete all the data contained in your phone or tablet. It aims to anticipate things that are not desirable when the phone or tablet is in the wrong hands.

Android Product Manager, Benjamin Poiesz, says that the service will soon be enjoyed. "This service will be available at the end of the month and will run on Android operating system 2.2 and above," Poiesz wrote on the official Android blog.

Services such as ADM is not the first time created. Previously, Apple has long made the "Find My iPhone, iPad, and Mac 'with similar services and even other features are not owned by ADM. "Find My iPhone, iPad, and Mac" has been sliding since 2010.
